Here is an app I built, which helps patients in Nova Scotia to determine their real wait times for surgical procedures, with just one click.
The app makes use of the Nova Scotia Open Data Portal, from which the surgical wait times dataset was obtained.
Multiple linear regression was utilized to build the prediction model from the dataset.

Carlo Carandang is an MD psychiatrist, an MSc data scientist, and a Dell Certified Specialist- Data Scientist, Advanced Analystics (DCS-DS). Carlo is focused on AI, machine learning, and Big Data in psychiatry and government. As a psychiatrist, he has over 15 years of clinical experience treating patients with psychiatric disorders. His areas of interest include anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, tax compliance, and data science. Carlo is a productive researcher and scholar, and to date has 34 publications and 6 research grants. He has been on the medical staff of numerous hospitals, and was on the faculty at two prestigious medical schools. Carlo currently works as a data scientist for the Canadian government.
